Moller Hart's brief was restraint: show the rooms as they are lived in, not staged for a magazine. We kept the owner's own things and moved almost nothing.

We followed the light from morning to lamp-light, so the set includes the one hour the apartment looks like its owner described it.

8 frames

A plywood lounge chair and a pine cabinet with dried grasses beneath a framed print, on a pine floor. — The pine cabinet and plywood chair, morning.

A low bed in white linen beside a plywood chair and a tree-stump side table in a white room. — The bedroom, linen as it was.

An evening corner: plywood chair, black tray table with a lit candle and framed prints, lamp light. — The same corner after dark.

The pine cabinet with two framed prints leaning on it and the plywood chair beside a wool cushion. — The prints the owner draws herself.

Stacked white bowls on a small wooden table, softly out of focus around them. — Breakfast bowls, the one detail we arranged.

A grey ceramic vase and a shaggy wool cushion on a wooden bench against a white wall. — Bench, vase and the wool cushion.

A black tray table in the foreground with the pine cabinet and plywood chair beyond. — Through the living room.

A bright bedroom with a low white bed, the plywood chair and the pine cabinet. — Bedroom, late afternoon.
