The workshop has two windows and one lamp, and that is all the light we used. The maker kept working; we kept out of the way.

The story ran as a long read with Corin Abbas's text, and the maker now uses twelve of the frames as his whole website.

8 frames
Squaring the first board.
Rough stock from the yard.
Through the planer.
Weighing a block for the chair rail.
By the window, checking the face.
Under the lamp, the only light after four.
Parts for six chairs.
The first joint of the day.
