Studio policies
The short version of our hire terms. The full terms are sent with every booking confirmation; these demo terms must be replaced with your own before launch.
01
Holds
- Dates can be held without payment. Holds rank in order: first, second, third.
- A hold lasts five business days. If someone with a lower hold wants to confirm, the first hold has 24 hours to confirm or release.
- A hold becomes a booking when the deposit is paid and the certificate of insurance is on file.
02
Deposit and payment
- A 50% deposit confirms a booking. The balance and any overtime are invoiced on the day and due in 14 days.
- Card payments carry a 3% processing fee; ACH and wire transfers do not.
03
Moving or cancelling
- Cancel or move a booking five or more business days ahead: the deposit is credited to a new date within 90 days.
- Inside five business days, or a no-show: the full rate is due.
- Weather is not a reason to cancel a studio day.
04
Insurance
- A certificate of insurance (COI) is required before load-in: general liability of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence, naming the studio as additional insured.
- Productions bringing crew must also carry workers' compensation.
05
House rules
- Shoes off the cyc floor; booties are provided.
- No open flame, glitter or confetti without written approval.
- Food and drink in the kitchen and lounge only.
- Leave the stage as you found it; strike time is part of your hours.
